China Galland, M.A., is the author of several works of non-fiction including: Longing for Darkness, Tara and the Black Madonna; The Bond Between Women, A Journey to Fierce Compassion; and the forthcoming The Keepers of Love (HarperSanFrancisco, 2006-07). Galland is a Professor-in-Residence at C.A.R.E., the Center for the Arts, Religion, and Education at the Graduate Theological Union and the founder and Director of Images of Divinity under the sponsorship of C.A.R.E. Galland is featured on the BBC/Opus Arte’s DVD, Stabat Mater and several other documentary films. Her book, Longing for Darkness, was the first book on the Black Madonna published in the United States (1990). The Power of the Dark Feminine is Galland’s original two-part audiotape series published by Sounds True. The Bond Between Women was a finalist for the annual “Best Spiritual Book Published“ for the year of publication.
